ZIVHU ACCOMODATES ORPHANS, WIDOWS IN CHIVI

Rural District Council chairman, Killer Zivhu has gone a milestone as he is constructing houses to accommodate orphans and widows in Chivi.

Chivi north, (ward 2) councilor, Mr. Saunders Magwizi said Zivhu’s kindness to the people around him and the community as a whole shows that he is a true leader as he is  working towards developing the welfare of the poor.

“What Zivhu did can only be done by few. It shows that he is a true leader with vision  and heart for others .Not all leaders are capable of fulfilling their promises to the people, but, Zivhu is one of a kind, who has fulfilled his promises as we now see the house standing” said Magwizi

Recently Zivhu has donated two houses, one in Madyangove and the other in Nyengera villages for widows and orphans, who are homeless as some of the projects which has been initiated for community development.

One of the houses donated was given to a widow by the name, Svoko Ndambakuuya in Nyengera village, who is taking responsibility for all the orphans whose parents died of HIV and AIDS in the village, nurturing them and sending them to school.

“I had to take these orphans in because they had no shelter. However, the house I was living in was not in good condition thus, Zivhu insisted in building a new home for us. I am grateful” said Ndambakuuya

One of the orphans Tatenda Chigwira said, their lives have since changed ever since the chairman and other villagers are assisting them with food and shelter as they were living in a house which was collapsing.

“We are thankful for the chairman’s help and those who are helping in building the house. Life hasn’t been fair to us for a long time until Zivhu came into our lives.” Said Chigwira

Villagers in both villages are expecting more assistance as they are more families with the same problems.
